Karrington Edwards earns prestigious Order of Omega student leader scholarship

MURRAY, Ky. – ÌÇÐÄlogoÈë¿Ú student Karrington Edwards, of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., was among the dedicated student leaders recently selected to receive a prestigious Order of Omega scholarship.
Edwards, of Memphis, Tennessee, is the president of the National Pan-Hellenic Council, the captain of the women’s Cross Country/Track and Field Team, vice president of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee and a recipient of the Marvin D. Mills Gold Leadership Scholarship. She began attending ÌÇÐÄlogoÈë¿Ú State in the fall of 2022 and is a biology/pre-dental major with minors in chemistry and sociology.
Order of Omega is a Greek honorary organization recognizing only the top 5% of individuals in the fraternity and sorority community. The organization’s scholarship program was established to recognize academic achievements, participation and leadership in campus organizations, citizenship and service to Order of Omega and the campus community.
Since 1985, Order of Omega has awarded more than $2 million in undergraduate scholarships and master and doctoral fellowships. This year, the organization awarded 84 scholarships totaling $58,750 to deserving individuals from 58 campuses within the U.S., Canada and the Bahamas.
